The only thing bigger than Hunter Scarbrough’s smile was his heart.

 

In his short time on Earth, Hunter made a lasting impression on everyone he met. Whether offering comfort or encouragement to a friend or leading a prayer for someone in need, Hunter always went the extra mile, and he always took someone along with him.

 

Hunter’s competitive spirit and physical gifts made him a great athlete, but his love for his friends, family and classmates made him the young man who will always be remembered as a shining example of Christ’s love for the greatest and smallest among us.

 

The Hunter Scarbrough Foundation was created to honor Hunter’s memory by presenting a one-time college scholarship to a high school senior who has demonstrated the qualities Hunter possessed and shared with others, including faith, leadership, academic perseverance, and community service.

 

Hunter was a blessing to everyone he knew. He will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched. It is our desire that the scholarships presented in Hunter’s memory will help others follow his example.
